Phillies Take on Their Rivals The Mets

After a great opening series against the Oakland Athletics, the Philadelphia Phillies will welcome their rivals the New York Mets for a three-game series.

The ball has certainly gone boom for the Phillies so far as they currently have hit five home runs in three games so far in the season and will look to continue making the ball go boom against a Degromless Mets.

Jean Segura has been raking the ball so far for the Phillies, currently leading the team with two home runs on the season.

Phillies pitching has looked good to start the season with Cory Knebel making an early impact from the pen, getting his first save on the season.

The Phillies will have Ranger Saurez make his first start of the year on Monday, Zack Wheeler on Tuesday, and Aaron Nola on Wednesday.

The Phillies will see Taijuan Walker Monday, Tylor Megill on Tuesday, and then will see one of the highest-paid pitchers in baseball in Max Scherzer on Wednesday.

PLAYERS TO WATCH IN THE SERIES FOR THE PHILLIES

Phillies 1B Rhys Hoskins - Rhys has been a met killer the last couple of seasons. He has hit for an average of .235 but has 16 home runs against the Mets.

Phillies LF/DH Kyle Schwarber - Last season for Schwarber he dominated the Mets. Hitting .344 and had 7 home runs and 11 runs batted in. Look for the ball to go boom off of Schawrbers bat in this series.

I think the Phillies will win this series 2-1. I have a feeling that will lose the middle game of the series but will win the first game and the rubber match.
